KIRKEBRANN comenzó como un proyecto en 2004 en la bodega de Draug. Fue entonces cuando Baaddl se unió a la batería y Rogner a las voces. Harafn más tarde se unió la guitarra y Iwan al bajo. Con esta formación, la banda grabó el EP «Vinterblot» que fue lanzado en CD (también publicado en cinta por Hammerbund Records) y se presentó en el Hammerslag Festival (Tønsverg, Noruega), propiedad de amigo de Draug, Bjorn Almar.
Más tarde la banda grabó tres canciones para un split con Svikt y su primer álbum de estudio, «Når Alt Dør», editado por Blackcrown Rec.
Con una nueva formación, KIRKEBRANN comenzó a grabar el segundo álbum de estudio durante el pasado verano de 2015.
Actualmente está siendo masterizado y verá la luz en breve.

KIRKEBRANN started as a project in 2004 in Draug’s cellar. From there Baaddl joined the band on drums and Rogner on lead vocals. Later Harafn joined one lead guitar and Iwan on bass. With this line up, the band recorded «Vinterblot» EP and released it on CD (also released on tape by Hammerbund Records). It was presented at Hammerslag Festival (Tønsverg, Norway), owned by the Draug’s friend Bjorn Almar.
Later the band recorded three songs for an split with Svikt and their first studio album, «Når Alt Dør», released by Blackcrown Rec.
With a new line up, KIRKEBRANN started recording the next full length in summer 2015. Nowadays it’s being mastered and it’ll see the light shortly.
